2021 Fan Picks

Bracket-style social media polling during the month of October to crown your favorite Publix private label product.

Scope: Our team was inspired by the energy of the March Madness and Fantasy Football events so we put together our fan picks competition. Customers become more aware of Publix private label products by showcasing them with collection of Publix products in a weekly head to head matchup. Each week fans could vote on Publix's Facebook and Instagram social media accounts. Utilizing the poll feature that’s built into the platforms, we could easily track and collect which products were going to advance in the bracket to next weeks matchup.

Role: As the motion designer for this project I worked with the art director to help concept and create the idea of how Publix fans could engage with us. The trophy was designed as our corner stone for branding the bracket matchup. It’s made up of a variety of Publix food offerings that was 3D printed into a physical trophy. For the main social video we spun it on a lazy susan and dropped the confetti around it.

Each week, once the polls were complete, I’d receive the voting results and start pairing up the next matchups for the Instagram and Facebook stories. Keeping the motion to a minimum was the goal so fans could focus more on the beauty of the products.


Because all the polling was posted live to the Publix Facebook and Instagram account, I do not have a saved version of it to share.
