My girlfriends favorite movie is Disneys’ “Tangled.” So for her birthday I decided what else to do than turn the entire living room into the most famous scene from the movie! With a little help from After Effects and CC Particle World, I was able to pull it off.

For this projection I had 4 walls and over 375 sqft to cover. I went with a 3 projector setup to cover all my angles and took advantage of the TV screen since it was in the middle of everything. Two projectors were on tripods and one rested on top of the fridge. Each had to be connected via HDMI to my laptop as well so I could map it all out.

I utilized MadMapper again for this project. With 4 different walls to map it was somewhat painless to setup and map out everything. The trickiest part of mapping it out was actually dealing with the focus and throw of the projectors. Since I had to be far enough away to project on the entire wall, some of my projectors weren’t able to be 100% in focus. It wasn’t a dealbreaker but not ideal.
