Scope: Each month Publix Liquors highlights a selection of drinks that theme well with the month ahead. This is a fun opportunity to create a social media video for a couple of the cocktails. With these videos we’ll use a wide array of assets from video, photography, and stop motion (or even a mix of two). The team that I get to work with makes these projects so much fun to be apart of! From the Art Director, Photographer, and even food stylist, I always enjoy my time with them!
Role: Lead Motion Designer. With all the videos on this page I created the video edit and color correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics. I work with the AD to help concept and storyboard before going to the studio to shoot. Especially with mixing cocktails we want to make sure to follow the given recipe so anyone watching can follow along. This featured video was one the first videos I worked on with Publix and still one of my favorites. The colors work so well together and the edit a lot of fun to put together.
Our Holiday videos for December involved a little more creativity with the help of some candy canes. This video was unique in the fact that I used some handy helpers to create a stop motion animation of dancing candy canes.
For certain months that have holidays we get a little more creative with the cocktails. This video was for the month of October and play on the drinks name, which is Rum Mummy. The food stylist did an awesome job with the lemon peel and we even wrapped up the AD’s arm to look like a mummy. Occasionally I will also act as talent for the shoot. In this case I assembled the cocktail. I also worked on the prop styling for this shoot.
